Intimate Moab Airbnb Elopement with Family | Alyssa + Jake

From Adventuring Local Parks at Sunrise to a Private Airbnb Ceremony

Alyssa and Jake's Moab wedding day started inside their own Airbnb at 4:00am...yes I meant am and not pm. There they put the finishing touches on getting ready for our epic sunrise adventure & had their first look with each other. For their first look, they wanted to see each other right away instead of waiting until we got on site at Canyonlands National Park, so we decided to do it within the open kitchen of their Airbnb in front of a hanging wall photograph of Mesa Rock, where we were going to watch the sunrise later that morning.

Following their first look, we packed up in what they liked to call the Adventurous Wedding Van to explore Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. We arrived at Mesa Rock inside Canyonlands National Park just in time to hike to the viewpoint to witness the sunrise. While the sunrise was a bit overcast this particular morning, it didn't make the views any less epic and was a phenomenal start to Alyssa + Jake's adventure filled day. We--of course--took some epic bridal portraits after taking in the views of the sunrise.

Once Alyssa and Jake were ready to explore the next spot, we hiked back to the van and started to venture to Dead Horse Point State Park. We absolutely had to stop at a few other spontaneous stops inside Canyonlands to truly take in the park!!

Once we had explored to our hearts' content, we ventured our way to Dead Horse Point State Park & took in all the views there were to be offered there. And took some epic bridal portraits, of course.

About mid morning, we decided to venture back towards Downtown Moab to meet back up with their family and set up for the ceremony at the Airbnb. Once we arrived, we ate a phenomenal breakfast their family had prepared, and decorated the backyard for the upcoming ceremony. Once everyone was ready to go, we started the ceremony with their family present. Alyssa and Jake even had his mom officiate--how special!! We followed the ceremony with some celebratory mimosas and a cool down from the heat outdoors. Once everyone was cooled off, we headed back outside to capture some family photographs!

By this time, everyone was about ready for a nap! They spent the rest of the day relaxing and then had a big family outing to dinner that evening to celebrate. Alyssa and Jake truly had such an intimate, emotional, adventurous day for their wedding day. I cannot thank them enough for trusting me to capture the magic of their elopement. Congratulations, again, Alyssa and Jake!!
